Nowadays, Artificial Intelligence has become increasingly powerful, with nearly every tech company integrating AI-powered features into their products and services. This has led to significant changes in sales and audience engagement. AI integration is becoming a trend across businesses, and we, too, aimed to incorporate Artificial Intelligence into one of our features.

Datacom LLC is a pioneering Mongolian tech company that serves as the sole registrar of .MN domain names and provides digital business solutions. Founded in 1994, the company introduced the Internet to Mongolia in 1996, enabling people to connect globally and access information like never before. From that point on, the company gained greater recognition, and many businesses began relying on Datacom LLC for their services. As a result, the user panel now serves 60,000 to 100,000 monthly active users managing their accounts and services.

Our main function is to search for domain names and check their availability. If a domain is already registered, users cannot purchase it; if it’s available, they can buy it instantly using various payment methods. The challenge, however, was helping users choose the right domain name that fits their needs. Many users struggled with creative thinking, and this is where AI plays a crucial role.

Since this was my first AI-powered project, I had to research extensively on implementation. The core goal of the AI was to suggest the perfect domain name for a given industry based on user input. Users provide a description of their business and its objectives, and the AI then recommends domain names ending with .mn that best fit their needs.

All I needed was an array of recommended domain names ending with .mn. To achieve this, I selected an AI model capable of producing structured outputs for an accurate fit. I instructed the model to follow rules, such as ensuring names were at least three characters long. I used the Gemini API for the most efficient and fast results. Additionally, I trained the AI with data linking domain names to their corresponding categories, enabling it to learn and suggest similar domains.

After deploying our new AI feature, we observed a significant impact on sales, with domain name purchases increasing by approximately 15% from that point onward.
